Bethany Christian Schools wanted to increase their web presence with dynamic resources for students, parents, prospectives, faculty and staff. Their needs ranged from practical calendar, news and announcement updates to implementing a new brand with a more open and welcoming site. They needed a solution that was flexible and easy to manage themselves, cheap enough to implement and maintain on a small budget, with easy access to large amounts of content for different constituents and stakeholders.

Plain And Simple Amish Furniture

Plain and Simple was looking for an overhaul of their old site. We built the new one on Drupal content management system - an open source, powerful and free system - giving them easy-to-manage dynamic content. This includes a gallery of images of their products that can handle bulk imports. We also used Drupal’s seo friendly features to raise their Google ranking for target keywords.

We updated the design and navigation to focus on the main strengths and beliefs of the company. We worked with a photographer to create images that communicated Plain and Simple’s commitment to personal attention and quality.

Indigenous Issues Forums

Indigenous Issues Forums was looking to break out of the box with a visual, kid-friendly site that evokes the natural world through artwork and movement. We built the site around their beautiful logo (hand-drawn by Jim Yellow Hawk) and created a rich seasonal landscape backdrop. We pushed the boundaries of the web browser by building on the open-source MooTools JavaScript library to create a site that moves like Flash but is web-standards compliant, degrades gracefully in older browsers, and is fully accessible to all web clients. Using the powerful and flexible open-source Django web application framework, we provided IIF with an intuitive administration interface for managing text and photo content.

New World Arts is an alternative theatre company in northern Indiana. When they produced Aristophanes’ Lysistrata in 2006 we designed the posters and programs, a run of postcards, and a splash page for their website. We worked with photographer Danny Palmer for images based in the production, and built the series around New World’s “Season Nine” branding.
